The Porky is now a bi-monthly magazine. Due to various factors - economy, weather related issues, life - we felt that it might be better for us to scale down just a tad so that we can concentrate on making our publication the best possible. With only a Captain and a Cook running the ship, sometimes it's a little tough. BUT, that doesn't mean that you will be getting anything less. In fact, we are providing you even MORE!

ADVERTISING
We know that, as a small business, sometimes you can't commit to a whole year of advertising, especially if your business is seasonal. So, we have decided to help you determine when the best time is for you to advertise in our magazine and for you to be able to target your audience.
Since we have changed our printing to 6 times a year instead of monthly, we determined that announcing our issue themes might help our writers and advertisers to get a leg up on the issues that matter most to them. All of us here at UP Magazine - The Porky, want to continually grow and create content that our readers enjoy and love to share with their friends and relatives. That means more exposure for everyone. That means you, as the advertiser, can target where your money will be best spent.
So here are the themes/topics for the rest of 2026 and for the 2027 year coming up! If you would like to advertise with us, you can call Robin at 906.361.0269. She would love to send you our rate card and answer any questions you might have about our magazine. Best of all, we have an in-house graphic designer who will put your ad together for you at no additional charge.

NEW! We'll do a 2-page article on your business! We'll also include an 1/8th page ad for the following two issues! We'll include lots of photos as well! We like to show people who is behind the business...we want your customers to know YOU and all of the hard work you put into making sure that your customers get the very best. When your customers know YOU and relate to YOU, that makes them want to support what you do even more.
We'll send out a writer to interview you, take photos OR you are welcome to send us your article and photos and we'll lay it all out. It's totally up to you!
